Broadway’s Shauna Hicks Will Emcee KRVC 2016 Broadway Bash!
Riverdale Resident Shauna Hicks, has starred on Broadway in Blood Brothers opposite David and Shaun Cassidy with Petula Clarke, Carole King and Helen Reddy. She played Rosemary in the Broadway tour of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying opposite Ralph Macchio, receiving rave reviews and garnering Florida’s Carbonell Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical and a Chicago Jeff Award nomination for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Musical. Shauna got her big break understudying the Judy Garland Role in “Meet Me In St. Louis” on Broadway.
New York Magazine’s John Simon has called her “ Gifted & Winning” and the LA Times describes her as “ A Formidable Talent. “
Shauna has headlined with symphonies in cities all around the country including New York City’s Town Hall. She has headlined as a vocalist on Celebrity, Holland America, Silver Seas and Royal Caribbean cruise lines.
Shauna is a MAC, CAB and Bistro Award winner for her one women show Shauna Hicks & Her 60’s Chicks. Her follow up piece Shauna Hicks & Her 70’s Mix was described by Show Business Weekly as wildly funny and throughly entertaining.
Shauna is the resident Drama Instructor at the Riverdale Children’s Theater, proud mother of RKA 7th grader Sean Martin , and wife to career Broadway actor Michael X. Martin, currently performing in The Front Page on Broadway.
