Andrew R. Williams was born in Long lsland, N.Y. At the age of he moved to Riverdale and attended DeWitt Clinton High School. After graduating High Schoo! in L958 he attended a New York Technical Television schoo! for a year and a half. He then joined the U.S. Navy in 1959 and spent 4years on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier. In 1966 he graduated The American Academy McAllister lnstitute of Funeral Service. He - _ then joined his parents Charles and Josephine to work at the Family business which was established in 1956. Andy has been working at the Funeral Home for the past 50 years and continues to this day. He remains very active and is a fixture in the Kingsbridge/Riverdale community, always willing to help the community any way he can. His dedication to the community is apparent through his service to the Kingsbridge Business lmprovement District. He has served as President to the BID for the past 5 years.
